What is TPM 2.0?

TPM 2.0 is a Trusted Platform Module. It is required to run Windows 11 OS. This feature is an essential building block for security-related parts. TPM 2.0 is used in Windows 11 for Windows Hello for identity protection and Bitlocker for data protection. The job of TPM 2.0  is to protect data used to authenticate your computer.

How do you check whether your Windows PC is compatible with TPM 2.0?

Step 1: To check TPM compatibility on your Windows 11/10 PC, Go to the Search tab and type “Run.”


Step 2: Now open Run and type tpm.msc and press Enter or OK.

Step 3: TPM utility will open a window and check all related information. You can enable and disable TPM from here. You can also reset your TPM settings.

Further, on Windows 10, download the PC health check application and run that app. This window will show you whether your PC is compatible with TPM 2.0.

Step 1: Go to Search, Type TPM.
