Recover My Password: Free Software to Reset Windows 11/10 Password

Users of Windows can make a password-reset disc to gain access to their computers. that they can access their machine using the reset disc if they forget their login information. However, the majority of Windows users are either unaware of this feature or choose not to create a password reset disk.

A bootable CD or bootable USB disc can be used to circumvent the login screen password for users who don’t have a password reset disc and have forgotten their admin password. Many free and commercial programs exist to help you build a password reset DVD, but in this risewindows article, we’ll focus on Recover My Password, a free program.

All versions of Windows operating systems, including Windows 11, 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, and Windows server editions up to Windows 2019, are compatible with Recover My Password, which is free for personal use. You can log into any Windows 10/10 system without a password if you have lost your Windows login password using the same recovery CD/USB disc.

To do that, you must first build a bootable USB flash drive or CD and then download the Recover My Password program from the lazesoft website. Once you’ve made a “password reset disc,” start your Windows computer from it and enter the password without thinking about it.

How to Create a Password Reset Disk for Windows 11/10 using Recover My Password?

Note: Windows 10 password-reset CD also functions nicely with Windows 11. The same drive can therefore be used for both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Step 1: Download Recover My Password from the lazesoft website and install it on any Windows computer like any other piece of software.

Step 2: Use the desktop shortcut icon to start the “Recover My Password” program.

Step 3: Select the button labelled Burn Bootable CD/USB Disk Now.

Step 4: Select Windows 10 64 bit from the drop-down menu on the next window that appears.

Step 5: Click on Next.

Step 6: Next, from the USB Flash option’s drop-down menu, choose the USB Flash drive’s letter number.

Note: Click on the Refresh button if the software does not detect the inserted USB device. A USB drive letter should now show up. Additionally, the password reset disc can be made into a bootable CD/DVD and ISO Image. Choose the required option.

Step 7: After making the suitable choice, press the Start button. It can take some time depending on how quickly your computer and the media are. Build the bootable disc for password reset later.

How to Reset Password of Windows 11/10 using Recover My Password?

Once you have a CD/DVD or bootable USB flash drive, use it to start your PC. Enter BIOS/UEFI and choose the relevant option to accomplish it. After that, follow these steps:-

Step 1: Click on the Enter key after selecting Lazesoft Live CD [EMS Enabled].

Step 2: Your computer will start up with a password reset DVD after you have finished the previous steps. Choose Reset Windows Password from the drop-down menu on the following window that displays, then click on the Next button.

Step 3: To continue, select Yes from the pop-up window that appears.

Step 4: If the Recover My Password software does not automatically identify the Windows installation location, choose it manually. Next, choose Reset Local Password from the menu. Once you do that, press the Next button.

Note: If you have created a password for an online account, the Recover My Password application won’t be able to recover it.

Step 5: All of your Windows 11/10 computer user accounts will be visible in the following window. Choose the administrator account whose password you want to retrieve.

Step 6: Click on the Next button.

Step 7: Select the large circle that is marked as RESET/UNLOCK.

Step 8: A new pop-up window will show up on your screen that says the password has been successfully reset. Choose the OK option.

Step 9: Click on the Finish button.

Your administrator user account’s password has now been successfully changed. After removing the bootable disc from your computer, restart it.

Step 10: Click on Start orb.

Step 11: To restart your computer, choose the Reboot Computer option.

The chosen user account password has now been changed. Your computer won’t ask for a password when you try to log in. To secure your user account after logging in, create a new password for your computer.

Similar to that, you may also make a password reset CD for any version of Windows computer.
