You have a lot of ways that you can use to know the system specifications of your computer without using a third-party tool. Some of these are the Settings app, System Information, DirectX Diagnostic Tool, PowerShell, and Command Prompt. Using this tool, you will inform about everything in your system. O&O DeskInfo is software that you can download and install for free. You can immediately fetch any required information in the event you need support from your system administrator.
After installing the software, run it to fetch the system information on your desktop. Once you run it, it displays all the required information on the top right side of your screen. From user name, machine name, operating system, version, OS build, codename, processor manufacturer, & type, installed RAM (memory), available RAM, system type (32-bit or 64-bit), IP address of your PC, usage of CPU, to the available storage you won’t have to search anywhere else.
You can access every little setting by right-clicking on the O&O DeskInfo icon on your system tray. You can configure DeskInfo according to your requirements before working with it. You can turn it off whenever you feel like it from the context menu and turn it on again whenever you feel like it.
You get another option called “Copy to clipboard.” You can copy a piece of particular information saved in the notepad. You can access it at any point in time and save it in your system.
As already mentioned, it displays the system information on the top right side of the screen. You can, however, adjust this through the “Position” option in the context menu. Although by default, this software displays only a few details on the screen like user name, machine name, operating system, version, OS build, codename, processor manufacturer & type, installed RAM (memory), etc.
You can adjust the settings by navigating to Display> Full and make it show you the full details, such as GPU manufacture and model, GPU RAM, Network adapter, Connection type, IPv6 address, IP V4 address, subnet mask, MAC address, DNS server, default gateway, DHCP Servers, Network speed, etc.
You can personalize what you see on your screen, for example, the color of system information, so it matches your desktop background. You get different color options like white, black, red, green, or blue. You can also modify the font sizes, opacity, etc.
