Cortana is the Voice Assistance of the Windows platform. This feature works on a chat-based UI and interacts with our system. Windows 11 does not have this feature by default. But those who want to use it in the latest version of Windows can use it from Start Menu.
Cortana can be enabled and disabled from the Windows system. Cortana has built-in command features to run on Voice and Typing inputs.
Click on Search Icon from Taskbar, Start menu, or Windows Icon in the taskbar.
Type “Cortana” in the search tab and click on open. Then click on the Sign-in button.
You can sign in with one of your Microsoft Windows accounts.
After selecting your account, click on the “Continue” button.
Click “Accept and Continue,” and you will be ready to use Cortana. You can “Decline and sign out” if, in any case, you do not want to use Cortana further.
Here is some example of how to use Cortana on your PC. You can give voice commands by typing in the “Ask Cortana anything” tab.
“Hey, Cortana” lets you interact with Cortana. Click on the Mic icon to give hands-free voice commands to Cortana. This fantastic tool lets you set Reminders for Time, Place, and People. Use Cortana to collect and use information.
Can Cortana open apps?
Yes, Cortana can open apps for you. For that, you need to open Cortana first. Then give the command “Cortana Open Word.” This command should be a voice command. You can type “Open Word” directly, also.
Can Cortana Shut Down Computer?
Cortana can Shut Down the Computer on receiving the command – “Hey Cortana, shut down my computer.” You can also lock your PC by saying, “Hey, Cortana, lock my computer.”
