This feature serializes the keystrokes instead of requiring users to press multiple keys at the same time. It enables the user to enter key combinations by pressing keys in sequence rather than simultaneously. It is helpful in many cases. For example, usually, to open a new tab in chrome, file, we use CTRL + keys simultaneously. When Sticky Keys is turned on, you can press “CTRL” and then “N” keys individually to open a new tab in chrome.

Step 1. First, press Windows + I keys from the keyboard to open the Settings app.

Step 3. Then, scroll down to the end on the right side pane and then click the Keyboard.

Quick Note: While the Sticky Keys function is enabled, you can still use keyboard shortcuts simultaneously without any issues.

So, repeat the above steps and in step 4 above, toggle “Sticky keys” to off position to turn this feature off your computer.

How to Turn On or Off Sticky Keys in Windows 11 through Keyboard Shortcut?

Quickly, you can enable or disable the sticky keys using keyboard shortcut keys. For that, press the Shift key five times. It will turn on sticky keys in Windows 11. Then, Windows 11 will prompt you whether you want to enable sticky keys. Press Yes to turn it on and No button to turn it off.

If you play games and you frequently turn on sticky keys by mistake, you can disable shortcut keys permanently. For that, follow the following method.

Step 1. First, open Control Panel.

Step 7. After completing the above steps, select the Apply button.

Step 3. Lastly, toggle on/off Sticky keys to enable or disable this feature on your PC.
