This button can be quite interesting when you want to keep a check on what is happening around you. However, it can be quite irritating because the news and interests keep popping up in between you working on your computer. How to Remove News and Interests in Windows 10 using Taskbar?
Step 1: Right-click on the empty space on the taskbar. Select

How to Enable or Disable News and Interests in Windows 10 through Registry Editor?
Use the following steps to turn off News and Interests in Windows 10 Taskbar using the Registry Editor:-
Step 1: First, open Registry Editor on your computer.
Step 2: Locate the following key in the Registry Editor window’s left side pane:-
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Feeds
Step 3: To change the Value data, double-click on
- 0 = Show icon and text
- 1 = Show the only icon
- 2 = Remove everything
Set the Value value to 2 to remove News and interests from your Windows 10 Taskbar.
Step 4: Click on
Since the changes take effect right away, your computer doesn’t need to be rebooted. When you complete the all the above steps, the News and Interests button will vanish from your computer. Repeat the steps on your Windows 10 computer and, in step 3, modify the Value data to either 0 or 1 to re-enable it.
How to Turn on or Turn off News and Interests in Windows 10 using Local Group Policy Editor?
Use the following steps to enable or disable News and Interests button on Windows 10 Taskbar with the help of the Local Group Policy Editor:-
Step 1: Open Local Group Policy Editor as the first step.
Step 2: Select the following path in the left side pane:-
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > News and interests
Step 3: Double-click on the policy labelled “Enable news and interests on the taskbar” located on the right side of the “News and interests” folder.
Step 4: Select

Step 6: Click on
After performing the above steps, Windows 10’s News and Interests function is now fully disabled. Reboot your computer after closing Local Group Policy Editor.
