Use the following steps to show or hide loading images in Chrome web pages in Windows 11 or 10:

Step 1: Firstly, Open Registry Editor.

Step 2: Browse the following in the left sidebar of Registry Editor:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies

Step 3: Next, find the Policies folder in the left sidebar and go to New > Key.

Step 4: Name the newly created key as Google.

Step 5: After that, go to New > Key by right-clicking on the Google folder.

Step 6: This newly created key needs to be named Chrome.

Step 7: Now, right-click the Chrome key and choose New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Step 8: Name the newly created REG_DWORD as DefaultImagesSetting.

Step 9: Open the DefaultImagesSetting REG_DWORD you see on the right sidebar and set its “Value data” to 2.

Step 10: Click on OK.

Once you’re done with the above steps, close and reopen the Chrome browser, the web pages won’t load the images anymore. It will display a broken image icon along with alt text (alternative text, if added) for these pictures on the web pages.

Step 1: Start by opening the Google Chrome browser.

Step 2: Now, you need to click on the three-dotted icon (Customize and Control Google Chrome) and go to  Settings in the menu.

Step 3: Next, navigate to the Privacy and Security option in the left sidebar of the Chrome settings page.

Step 4: By clicking on it, expand the Site Settings tile.

Step 5: Next, scroll down to the right sidebar and click the Images option.

Step 6: Click on Don’t allow sites to show images.

Step 7: Restart the Chrome browser to apply the changes.

Once you’re done with the above steps, close and reopen the Chrome browser, the web pages won’t load the images anymore. It will display a broken image icon along with alt text (alternative text, if added) for these pictures on the web pages.
