Use these steps to remove or hide the icons from the Search bar in Windows 11:-

Step 1: Firstly, Open Windows 11 Settings.

Alternatively, you can use the Windows + I hotkey. You can also go to the settings by right-clicking on the Windows logo on the taskbar.

Step 2: In the Settings window, select Privacy & Security on the left side.

Step 3: Find the Search permissions tile on the right side.

Step 4: Then, go to the “More setting” section and turn Off the toggle switch that says Show search highlights.

Windows 11 will immediately stop displaying icons in the Search bar once you turn off Show search highlights.

How to Remove Icons from the Search Bar in Windows 10?

First, you must right-click on the free space on the taskbar and select Search. After that, un-check Show search highlights to remove icons. Icons from the Search bar on your Windows 10 will no longer exist.
