Step 1: Open Registry Editor.

Step 2: Once the Registry Editor window opens, browse to the following address in the left sidebar:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel

Step 3: Next, right-click on the NewStartPanel folder in the left sidebar and go to New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Step 4: Name the newly created REG_DWORD as {2cc5ca98-6485-489a-920e-b3e88a6ccce3}.

Step 5: Next, double-click and open the {2cc5ca98-6485-489a-920e-b3e88a6ccce3} REG_DWORD and set its “Value data” to 1.

Step 6: Click on OK button.

Step 7: Finally, Refresh your system by right-clicking on the free space on the desktop.

Once you complete the above steps, Windows will stop showing Windows Spotlight ‘Learn about this picture’ on your desktop.
