Step 2. When the Google site opens, click the Settings at the bottom-right corner.

Step 3. Then, select Search Settings from the menu that appears.

Step 4. Next, on the “Search Settings” page, click Appearance in the left sidebar.

Step 5. After that, under the Appearance header, select the Dark theme and click the Save button.

Step 6. Then, click OK when prompted.

Once you execute the above steps, the dark theme applies to your Google search on that browser. If you use more browsers, you must repeat the above steps.

How to Quickly Turn on/off Dark Mode for Google Search on Desktop?

Step 1. Firstly, open either Chrome or Safari on your phone.

Step 2. Now, access the Google search site.

Step 3. Then, tap the three horizontal lines on the Google page in the top-left corner.

Step 4. After that, in the menu that opens, tap Settings.

Step 5. Next, when the “Search Settings” page opens, in the “Appearance” section, select the Dark theme option.

Step 6. So, scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap the Save button.

Step 7. Finally, tap OK when you see a prompt in your web browser.

After that, you will see on Google’s homepage that dark mode is activated.
