What is a Transceiver?

A transceiver is an electronic device that is a transmitter and a receiver of signals, analog or digital. It is mostly used in wireless communication devices.

A Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse comes with a unique transceiver that you can not use to pair with other Bluetooth-enabled keyboards or mice. Moreover, all modern hi-end Bluetooth Keyboards and Mice do not include their transceiver. They rely on the transceiver built into the computer or portable device to which it is connected instead. The connection depends on how the Bluetooth technology is implemented on the computer.

You need to contact the computer manufacturer to find out how to turn on the Bluetooth service on the computer and add a device to the computer if the steps in this article do not resolve the problem.
