Step 1. Now, right-click on the Start button from the taskbar and click on the Disk Management option to open the Disk Management tool.

Step 4. Then, select Hardware Ids from the Detials tab in the Property drop-down box. You will see NVMe mentioned in the value fields if your SSD type is NVMe. If not, you will see SATA or any other value.

Step 1. Now, right-click on the empty space on the taskbar and select Task Manager. You can use Ctrl + Shift + Esc for Windows 11 to open the Task Manager.

One of the most popular tools out there is SSD-Z which is free to use. SSD-Z freeware tool can easily check if your SSD is SATA or NVMe. To check the SSD is NVMe or SATA, please follow the below-given steps:-

Step 1. Now, download SSD-Z from its official website and unzip it using WinRAR.

Step 2. Next, double-click on the SSD-Z to open the same.

Step 3. It will display all the information about your SSD under the Device. The interface field will display that either you have NVMe or SATA SSD.
