There may be times when even though you are using a Windows 11 computer, your start menu gets replaced by the Windows 10 start menu. Since Windows 11 is still being developed, coding errors could occur, or it’s possible that some installed programs have damaged the Windows 10 registry. On a Windows 11 system, we could see the Start menu, which resembled Windows 10. You can resolve the problem with a quick registry hack if you are also having it.

How do I restore Windows 11 Start menu?

Fortunately, there is a quick remedy available to bring back the Start menu in Windows 11. You must, however, change the Windows 11 registry. We advise setting a system restore point and a registry backup because this technique requires modifying the register. You can restore your computer to its prior functional state if something goes wrong.

Now follow these instructions to get the issue fixed:-

Step 1: Open Registry Editor.

Step 2: From the left side pane of the Registry Editor window, select the following registry key:-

Step 3: Right-click on the Advanced key and choose New, DWORD (32-bit) Value, and then click on OK.

Step 4: After completing the previous steps, a new DWORD (32-bit) Value will be produced on the Advanced key’s right-side pane. Give it the new name Start_ShowClassicMode. Make a second click on and change its Value Data to 0.

Step 5: Click on the OK button.

Step 6: Restart your computer to apply the changes.

The Start menu in Windows 11 will now be fixed. The Start menu will appear as expected when you click the Windows logo symbol on the keyboard or touch the Start button on the Windows 11 Taskbar. It will be in the middle of your computer’s display.

That is it.
