Step 5: Check below the “Device specifications” section. Here you will find the “Windows specifications” section that will display the Edition, Version, Installed on, OS build, and Experience of your Windows system.

Edition – It can use the option if you work on Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home edition.

Version – It tells you about the Windows release currently installed on the computer.

Installed on – You can view the date when the last “feature update” was installed on your computer.

Step 1: First, open the Run command box with the Windows Logo + R key combination on your system. Type msinfo32 and press Enter to launch the System Information app.

Step 2: Look for the System Summary category from the left side pane. You will find all the information there like OS Name, Version, System Manufacturer, System Model, System Type, Processor Brand, BIOS Version, BIOS Mode, Windows Directory, RAM, Motherboard brand, and virtualization support.

You can also expand the category and dig deep into the details of your system. For example, if you want to see the Adapter installed on your computer, go to the Adapter entry in the Components category. It will show you the details of the Adapter.

How to find computer or laptop specs using DirectX Diagnostic Tool?

The DirectX Diagnostic tool can use to troubleshoot different system problems that you may have on your Windows 10 system. You can also view all the specifications and information about the software on your computer. You can also view other details similar to the ones you see on the “About” page in the settings. To view your computer specs using DirectX Diagnostic Tool, do the following steps:-

Step 1: In the Start button, type dxdiag. Click on dxdiag in the search results to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

Step 2: Click on the System tab. You can view the computer tech specs in the “System information” section, including operating system version, system manufacturer, system model, processor manufacturer and core, memory (RAM), BIOS, or UEFI version.

Step 3: Next, find the Display tab under the Device section. You can see the technical information for the graphics or video card, such as the name and manufacturer of the graphics card, display memory (VRAM), chip, etc.

Step 4: In the Sound tab, you can find the sound card manufacturer and other details.

Step 5: You can save all the information with the option “Save All Information.”

Step 6: It will ask you to type a name for the file and finalize a location that you want to save it. Finally, click on the Save button.

Once you complete the above steps, your system information will save on your computer. You can access it with a notepad application.

How does PowerShell check or view the PC’s full specifications on Windows 10?

You can retrieve the system information using PowerShell. Just follow the following steps under mentioned steps:-

Step 1: Go to the Start button on the taskbar and type PowerShell. Right-click on the Windows PowerShell entry in the search results, and select the Run as administrator option.

Step 2: Type the following command and press Enter from the keyboard:-

Get-ComputerInfo

After completing the other steps, you can find the complete system information of your computer like the BIOS, processor, Windows version, etc.

On a side note, select all of the text from PowerShell and copy it if you want to save the information. Go to the desired location and press the Ctrl + Vcombination on your computer to paste it.

How to find computer specs using Command Prompt?

You can use the Command Prompt to find any Windows computer’s complete tech specs. To find the computer hardware and software details, perform the following steps:-

Step 1: Click on the Start button and type cmd. From the available results, right-click on Command Prompt app and select Run as administrator.

Step 2: You can view the system information, type the following command, and press Enter:-

systeminfo

On a side note, you can save a copy of the Command Prompts commands. To do that, select the whole text of Command Prompt, right-click from the mouse, and copy the text. Now, open the notepad and paste it there. You can access the commands from the notepad at any point in time.

You can see the system information once you are done with all the above steps. For example, the computer’s hardware and software, including Windows 10 and update information, system architecture, BIOS or UEFI, Memory (RAM), network, and other details.
